You will receive three separate GRE scores.

1. GRE Quantitative which is reported on a 200 – 800 scale on the current GRE and from 130 – 170 on the Revised GRE

2. GRE Verbal which is reported on a 200 – 800 scale on the current GRE and from 130 – 170 on the Revised GRE

3. GRE Analytical Writing which is reported on a scale of 0  – 6 on both the current GRE and the Revised GRE.

Graduate schools use your GRE score as part of your application. They are free to use the scores in any way that choose. Furthermore, some schools may take the average of multiple GRE test scores and some may take the highest.
